Recruitment subsidy for young people

The Government approved a decree on youth recruitment support on 22th December 2025. Employers may apply to the recruitment subsidy for young people through Päijät-Häme Employment services.

 

The recruitment subsidy is intended to support the employment of job seekers under the age of 30. Companies can receive support for employee salary costs for half a year, however, up to a maximum of 1,500 euros per month.

Recruitment subsidy promotes the employment of young people

Recruitment subsidy is intended to support the employment of job seekers under the age of 30. Companies may receive the subsidy for the salary costs of a young person for half a year, but not more than 1,500 euros per month. The maximum amount of support is 9,000 euros per employed young person. The same employer can be granted several grants.

Recruitment support can also be granted to organisations, associations or public sector salary costs if they carry out economic activities.

Ehdot tuen hakemiselle:

  • The person to be employed is an unemployed job seeker under the age of 30 who has been unemployed for at least six months during the seven months preceding the conclusion of the employment contract.
    • If the person to be employed has only completed the basic education curriculum, the duration of unemployment must be at least three months.
  • The employment relationship lasts at least six months and the salary is in accordance with the collective agreements.
  • The working hours are at least 30 hours per week (approximately 80 percent).
  • The municipality of residence of the person to be employed is Asikkala, Hartola, Heinola, Hollola, Iitti, Kärkölä, Orimattila, Padasjoki or Sysmä.
  • The employer’s municipality of residence can be anywhere in Finland.
  • The employer must not have any tax debt or a tax debt repayment plan at the time of application.
